Walk in off Weld Street and the aisles open up: pallets of bagged feed, shelves of pet food and health lines, feeders and drinkers, cages and hutches, and a whole wall of giftware. If you can't see it, ask. There's plenty of information on hand.

Customers come for the bird selection as much as the feed. Over the year you'll find birds, guinea pigs, rabbits, guinea fowl, chickens and ducks passing through, and the gear to look after them once they're home.

Not every feed store has a welcoming committee. Ours grazes the yard beside the shed, and some customers pop in just to say hello.

A family business, run by Adam and Leah.

At The Feed Shed is run by Adam and Leah Turmine. Customers talk about the helpful owner, the warm and friendly staff, and the knowledge on hand. Nothing is too much trouble.

We care about the animals that come through the door, and about the land they live on. As we put it: “we need to take care of ourselves and the land.”
